Daemoni Bishop - Senior Manager, Probity
Background - Daemoni joined Procure Group in 2019 bringing over 5 years’ experience as a probity advisor and auditor, assisting NSW State and Local Government with a diverse range of procurement projects and grant processes. Her experience in probity advisory work along with her previous management experience in a commercial context enables Daemoni to effectively engage with a wide range of clients including government agencies, professional bodies, and private sector organisations, while at the same time understanding agencies’ complex business environments.
Daemoni also has experience in undertaking internal audits into legal publishing units and providing company secretarial consulting services with Ernst & Young to start-up companies. Prior to undertaking probity advisory work Daemoni’s experience was primarily in the private sector where for ten years she was the Pacific Publishing Director for an international legal publishing company.
Broad local council probity advisor experience – Her breadth of local council experience ranges from waste, organic waste & recyclable materials management, security services, through to major pool upgrades, pedestrian & cyclist bridges & entertainment centre refurbishments. Daemoni has worked closely with many coastal local councils where she has provided probity services for Surf-Life Saving Club building upgrades and new facilities.
Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils – As probity advisor for the procurement for SSROC on behalf of multiple local councils this was a highly complex area for procurement, being subject to regulatory announcements and highly volatile market rates making timing critical. Procurement involves RFT and BAFO and multiple energy specialists advising on technical detail including the future price of energy. SSROC were winners of the Local Government Professionals NSW Innovative Leadership and Management Award for the Peers1 procurement.
